Pastor Doug MacCormack
Pastor Doug MacCormack and his wife Kim have been married for over 30 years and have three children, Beth, Josh and Ashley. Pastor MacCormack followed God’s very evident leading to start Crossroads Baptist Church in the fall of 1990. God has blessed Pastor and Mrs. MacCormack and Crossroads Baptist Church in a miraculous way in these many years. Our church is known in the area as the “Church with a Heart” and that truly sums up the heart of our Pastor. Pastor MacCormack has a passion for reaching the lost and helping people, and he is still preaching the same unchanging truths from God’s Word that he began preaching over 25 years ago. As a young girl, Mrs. MacCormack was reached through the bus ministry; now our church buses, an integral part of the ministries here, strive to make a difference for Christ in the lives of other young people. Today, Mrs. MacCormack teaches full time at Crossroads Baptist Academy and is the administrative secretary for our church and school.
Bro. Bob Stortenbecker, Assistant Pastor
Bro. Bob Stortenbecker and his wife Karen have been serving in the ministries of our church and school since 2000. Bro. Stortenbecker is an Assistant Pastor for our church and is the Principal of Crossroads Baptist Academy. He and his wife teach full time in our school, and also teach the Building Lives Couples Class in our Sunday School. In addition, Bro. Stortenbecker preaches weekly in our 4th-7th grade Children’s Church and is a faithful bus captain. Bro. & Mrs. Stortenbecker have been married for over 25 years and have five children, Bobby, Kristi, Karis, Zach and David.
Bro. Josh MacCormack, Assistant Pastor
Bro. Josh MacCormack and his wife Ashleigh have been serving here since 2009. Bro. MacCormack is our Music Director and Youth Pastor, and his wife Ashleigh, our church pianist, enjoys helping her husband in both ministries. Bro. & Mrs. MacCormack have two little girls, Carlie and Chloe.
Bro. Ben Quackenbush, Assistant Pastor
Bro. Ben Quackenbush and his wife Ashley have been part of the ministry of Crossroads Baptist Church since the summer of 2015. While just a young man, Bro. Quackenbush felt God’s call to serve him full-time. He followed the Lord’s leading to Bible college, where he met Ashley, the youngest daughter of Pastor & Mrs. MacCormack. After graduation, they married and moved back to Dothan to serve the Lord together. In addition to teaching at Crossroads Baptist Academy, they oversee the singles ministry and are heavily involved in the music and bus ministries.
Bro. Sam Epley, Assistant Pastor
Bro. Epley has been serving in full-time ministry since 2005. He served here at Crossroads Baptist Church for five years, during which time he married Pastor & Mrs. MacCormack’s oldest daughter, Beth. In 2012, he answered the call to pastor a church in Bedford, Kentucky, where he served faithfully for five years. In the fall of 2016, the Epley family followed God’s leading back to Dothan to serve as our Visitation Pastor and Bus Director. Mrs. Epley is our CBA secretary and is also very involved in our music and children’s ministries. Bro. & Mrs. Epley have two daughters, Mistie and Faith.
